Become a Volunteer

If you have a desire to make a difference in your community, this is the place for you.

Why Volunteer?

UnitingCare Geelong is a not-for-profit organisation of the Uniting Church of Australia offering Emergency Relief to people living in the Barwon region.

As a volunteer you will be part of a friendly team where your time and commitment are appreciated.

You will be given support, orientation and training in your volunteering position.

We provide good working conditions with an “open door” policy.

The benefits of volunteering are many. Our volunteers say that they gain satisfaction by:

  • Engaging in meaningful work.
  • Helping others.
  • Meeting new people.
  • Having fun.
  • Using their skills.
  • Bringing new energy and experience.
  • Fulfilling Job Search requirements.
  • Working alongside others who are passionate about what they do.
  • Learning and practicing new skills.
